MBPFW 2015 - Day 2 // Backstage part 1

MBPFW is the largest fashion event in the Czech Republic. And I'm happy I was a part of it this March. On the second day of MBPFW more works of renowed Czech designers was introduced. All of them have presented their current next season collections for the first time.

Vladimír Staněk is one of the few Czech designers devoting their work solely to men’s fashion. Besides his own brand STINAK he works also at the men’s division of the traditional Czech brand Pietro Filipi.
Lukáš Macháček works under the brand of his own name and following in the footsteps of tailoring traditions. The brand adheres to principles of simplicity, a possibility to combine and wearability, with a pinch of rebellion.
Daniela Pešková understands garment as the final layer of the human body. Her new work for F/W 2015 draws inspiration on her Granny’s home, she says. ‘It is an intimate and honest interpretation of a feeling that does not tie you up, but gently winds around you, covers you, tenderly muffles you up and invokes a feeling as familiar as the place where you can feel free to be yourself.’
Mirka Horká is one of the few Czech designers to work in men’s fashion. Mirka Holá’s collections are characterised by stylish and functional design. Her new fall/winter 2015 collection was inspired by winter sports.
